KALAGAS TAPESTRIES OR WALL HANGINGS

Originally a Burmese art form. The Burmese handmade Kalagas are made just over the Thai border from Burma, in the Mae Sai District of Chiangrai province, Thailand.
Each Kalaga Tapestry is an individual work of art created from hundreds to thousands of individual beads and sequins.
Some of these works of art can take up to a year to produce, owing to there elaborate and beautiful design.
